The Story of Lift

Lift began with two best friends who wanted to make a difference in their small town. After the world had closed itself off during Covid, something essential felt missing — the ease of gathering, the joy of shared laughter, the simple ritual of lingering over a cup of coffee without rushing somewhere else. People were craving connection again, but there were so few places that truly invited it.

So the two friends decided to create one.

They imagined a space that felt warm and beautiful — a place where strangers might become friends, where ideas might spill across the table with the cream and sugar, and where anyone could come to feel a little more human again. What started as a simple coffee shop became the beginning of something bigger: a vision for how community could come back to life from the inside out.

Lift isn’t just about coffee (though we care deeply about making an exceptional cup).
